This development combines eco-design with modern architecture and presents a new, cool approach to tropical living. The project wil consist of 18 exclusive villas. The key principles of eco-design are building to create a low impact on the environment and incorporating building products, technology, materials and designs that promote eco-balance. Sun, heat, light, air and water are all elements that are considered in the design to ensure high energy efficiency, low maintenance and a healthier lifestyle. The villas' pitched roofs are planted with grass which creates a thermal mass aiding the cooling of the interior. Similarly, the reflecting pools help draw air through the building, creating cooling breezes. Natural light is also maximised, whilst there is natural shading from the trees. This villa will have a strong L-shaped design with the pool appearing to penetrate further into the property. The water theme is further mirrored by a reflecting pool to the front of the property. Glass walls and sliding doors give the dining and living areas a dual aspect onto expanses of water, thus accenting spaciousness, light and views of both the gardens and the sea. Two double bedrooms, each with en-suite, are next to each other on one side of the ground floor and feature floor to ceiling, glass, sliding doors directly onto the pool. The upper storey houses the third en-suite bedroom and a gallery overlooking the lounge and dining areas.
